About the Journal
The journal is owned and published by the Women Development Centre and the Department of Sociology and Gender Studies, University of Home Economics, Lahore. It is a biannual, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal committed to promoting high-quality academic research and critical discourse in the fields of gender studies and social inquiry.
The journal largely follows the principles, ethical standards, and best practices prescribed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring transparency, academic integrity, and ethical rigor throughout the publication process.
As an interdisciplinary platform, the journal welcomes original, theoretically informed, and empirically grounded research from a wide range of disciplines including, but not limited to, sociology, gender studies, anthropology, development studies, law, education, media studies, public policy, economics, and allied social sciences. While maintaining an international outlook, the journal places special emphasis on issues relevant to Pakistan, South Asia, and comparable socio-cultural contexts.
