Author Guidelines

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submission, please ensure the following:

  • The submission has neither been previously published nor has it been submitted to another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • APA formatting must be followed for referencing and formatting. APA guidelines are available on the website. https://apastyle.apa.org/instructional-aids/reference-examples.pdf
  • The author(s) provided their email, full name(s) and affiliation with the institution(s).

 The Word File must include:

  • Complete Information of author(s) (full names with correct spellings, institutional affiliation, designation, email of all authors)
  • Abstract with a word limit of 200-300 words.
  • The headings should include; Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Data Analysis, Discussion, Conclusion, References.
  • For giving References, Tables and figures APA formatting is strictly followed.
  • Authors can also attach Pictures, Questionnaires, Interview Guidelines, tables and graphs etc.

Publication Fee

We are not charging any fee to publish research articles in JGSI.

Submission Process Guidelines  

       Step 1                              “Start”

  • Register yourself by signup or login with your appropriate email address.
  • Read carefully the statements and click on checklists.
  • Add Comments (if any) for the editor.
  • Add details of the corresponding author
  • Agree to the Privacy Policy of JGSI and move to Step 2.

Step 2                      “Upload Submission”

  • Upload your manuscript file in a Word document.
    Once you add one file you can select any additional file to be uploaded to the portal. You can upload additional files( if any) by clicking “continue”.
  • Once you are done uploading your files and additional files ( Data collection tools, Data, Graphs, Pictures etc.) click the option “Complete”.
  • Select “Save and Continue” and move to 3rd step.

Step 3                       “Enter Metadata”

In step 3, the Author(s) can add details of the submission (Title -Prefix and sub-title of research study), Abstract, Co-author(s)’s Details, and Keywords.

  • You add prefixes and the title and sub-title of the submitted manuscript.
  • In the next step, you have to upload the abstract of your study. The word limit for abstract is 200-300 words.
  • After that, you can add details about your co-authors by clicking  the “Add Contributors” link. A new window will open where you can enter their contact information, country, user details (such as ORCID ID), institutional affiliation, and their role in your study. Click “Save”. You can add more co-authors by repeating this process.
  • In the last step, you need to enter some keywords related to your research study. In the last click “Save and Continue”.

    Step 4
                              “Confirmation”
  • You will be asked to confirm that your submission will be uploaded and if you want to review it and make any changes. You can do on this point.
  • Click finish “submission” and upload your file.
  • Once you “submitted” your manuscript you cannot make any changes in it.


Step 5                         “Review your submission”

 

  • You can go to “Dashboard “to review your submission and create a new submission.
  • You can also review the submission process through the “dashboard”.
